Existing fixtures supported by modular fixtures, lighting and merchandising units
The retail shop within the Singapore Discovery Centre gallery space needed to feel connected to the experience around it.
RM redesigned the shop by considering the merchandise, the customers it served and how the retail journey could correspond with the different sections of the gallery.
Starting with the experience
Before approaching the fixtures, RM looked at what the shop would carry and how different customers would move through the space.
We provided insights and recommendations for the merchandise selection, then developed a customer retail journey with dedicated sections shaped around different customer groups and areas of the gallery.
Building on the existing space
The redesign retained Singapore Discovery Centre’s existing fixtures where they continued to serve the space.
RM then recommended additional modular retail fixtures, lighting and merchandising units to strengthen the presentation and bring greater clarity to the shop.
Together, these elements allowed the retail space to function as part of the wider gallery journey rather than as a separate point at its end.
Rethinking how your retail space works?
We consider the merchandise, customer journey and displays together to shape a more cohesive retail experience.
